The Horror Highway Trailing
The worst one I can recall from my truck-driving stories, it has to be this one. Oh yes, I am sharing my trucking experience without stepping into the realm of supernatural or extraterrestrial. And yes, I have seen some of that too. So now to the story, it happened in my initial years of trucking. It was when I was driving across the Bisti highway to visit my grandpa in Grants (close to Gallup.)
I was just humming drumming my happy ass down the road when I pass 4 identical solid black Dodge Chargers parked on either side of the road. I thought it was weird, but I kept driving. I didn't push the brake at all. Neither did I slow down or anything. I pondered upon it for a while but continued driving. I took a look in my rear view a few miles later, and guess what I saw! The four Dodge Chargers. They were trailing me.
They kept following me and maintained the same distance. I started getting a bit freaked out at a point. Especially when two of them break off and get in front of me, and the third gets on my left side and just sits there. It was a very well choreographed movement by them.
Once that happened, I prepared myself. I wouldn't be pulled over and beaten by a bunch of thugs. I pulled the gun out of the center console for my defense. I was ready. I was waiting for one sketchy movement before I would shoot my shots. But they didn’t.
In fact, they keep maintaining the same positions up for a good five or six miles. Then, they all get in front of me and haul ass. Gone in a flash. No license plates, temp tags, nothing.
It was just a bunch of random drivers who probably pranked me and went off. I don’t believe in phantom cars, but that was the closest to what I had seen.
