The Notorious Route 666
I am a trucker and I have seen some unexplainable things in my 12-year-long career. Out of all the possible incidents that come to my mind, I have one specific memory etched in my memory. A few years ago, I was driving through a native land in New Mexico on Highway 491. Now note this, Highway 491 used to be Route 666. Yes, the notorious Route 666. But they changed it a few years back. I’m not sure why that happened, but it might have had to do with the negative press it had garnered, over the decades. Anyways, I’m on my regular route driving through that route. By the middle of the night, I'm in the middle of the desert. There were no lights or civilization for miles. Not that I was expecting to see them, but I was literally in the middle of nowhere. I was listening to loud music just so I would stay awake when up in the sky, there was a huge, orange flash.
