Co-driver Goes Missing At A Truck Stop

As a seasoned trucker, I've seen drivers duke it out on the fuel line many times. I have also seen brawls happen in the back of truck stops. Not only that, but I have also seen many rookies hitting other trucks by accident. I mean you name it, I’ve seen it all. The most memorable fight that I had ever seen was when I was on a trip with a co-driver whom we shall say, our partnership fell apart real fast on the way home. In Arizona, I stop at a truck stop between Flagstaff and the California state line. After an eternity, I finally decided to pull up on the fuel line. I fuel up and go inside to take a shit and get something to drink and snack on. I come back, and the sleeper curtain is open, no co-driver. 30-45 minutes go by and he comes out. That's cool, take your time because I ain't stopping from here on out. Get it all out now. I put some trash in a couple bags and put it on the floor, it was mostly his trash from his shift prior, that I couldn't stand having in the c...

Real Life Ghost Experience By A Trucker

If I remember correctly, I was somewhere in Missouri. I had driven my truck for 5 or 6 hours at a stretch, and I needed a break. So I stopped at an off-ramp, to stretch out, and take a breather. As I pulled out and started smoking a cigarette, a little girl from some direction I couldn't figure out giggled loudly and said, "Hi, mister!". I was stunned by her sudden sound and appearance. My initial reaction was "The hell is a little kid doing out here at this time?". Because it was about to get dark soon. And there were no houses visible nearby. I looked around to spot any cars parked, but there were none. So I tried to figure that out first. I talked back to her and said hi. She then responded to my “Hi” with, "My mommy says you will be ok, don't worry!". Now utterly confused and puzzled by what the little girl had just said, I asked her what she meant. No response. She just stood there, looking at me and not moving a lip. Then all of a sudden, I...

The Horror Highway Trailing

The worst one I can recall from my truck-driving stories, it has to be this one. Oh yes, I am sharing my trucking experience without stepping into the realm of supernatural or extraterrestrial. And yes, I have seen some of that too. So now to the story, it happened in my initial years of trucking. It was when I was driving across the Bisti highway to visit my grandpa in Grants (close to Gallup.) I was just humming drumming my happy ass down the road when I pass 4 identical solid black Dodge Chargers parked on either side of the road. I thought it was weird, but I kept driving. I didn't push the brake at all. Neither did I slow down or anything. I pondered upon it for a while but continued driving. I took a look in my rear view a few miles later, and guess what I saw! The four Dodge Chargers. They were trailing me. They kept following me and maintained the same distance. I started getting a bit freaked out at a point. Especially when two of them break off and get in front of me, and...

School Lockdown Drill Turned Real

It was a regular lockdown drill Thursday in school, and all of us were waiting for the bell to ring twice. It was so that we could complete the drill, and sit back without any stress. The last hour of the school had started, but yet there was no sign of the bell ringing, which was very unusual. This made our professor a bit tensed. So our professor went to the bell room to see what was wrong. And there it was, the bell man’s neck was been slit, and his body was filled with blood oozing out. Seeing that she screamed her way back towards the classroom. Everyone on the floor got alerted by the scream. As our professor was about to the shut the door closed, the professor in the next classroom came by to see what was the chaos all about. When our professor told him about the bell-man’s situation, he went straight to his classroom and shut the door from out, and then with a calm mind, he made his way safely to the bell room to warn everyone else. He rang the bell thrice, and there they came,...

Psychopaths Turned School Into Lockdown

It was my birthday when our school went into lockdown. Yes, it was, is, and will forever be my worst birthday ever. I was in my classroom with my friends, when the bell rang three times, which meant that the school had encountered danger. It meant that the school was going on lockdown. Me and my fellow classmates, looked out of the window to see what was happening. There was smoke everywhere, clearing my view I saw a squad of firemen opening their ladders. The basement and basketball ground were set on fire. It was not an accident according to them, since some had sprayed gasoline before setting the place on fire. The floor was locked by the guards so that no one would escape. But the question was why would someone set the school on fire, especially the basement when there was no crowd there. I said this thought out loud to my friends, and this scared the shit out of us. It was when the bell ran again. A faculty had seen two killers, enter the school with knives. That was the clue to t...

The trickster on the Highway

I was driving across the state highway in the middle of the night that was deserted. But it was not much surprising to me. Since I had traveled through this route a couple times - I knew that it usually gets lonely at night. It does not matter much to me since it is barely a four-hour-long drive.  So I was driving as usual. However, there was one thing a little out of the ordinary. I saw a man ask for a lift. He was a hitchhiker, and I have a strict self-decided policy toward hitchhikers - I never stop for them. And I do feel guilty about it, but I prefer not to put myself at risk. So I saw this man stand at the corner turn, asking for a lift. He did not say much. I was driving downhill - the road was curvy. I saw him at the first turn and just noticed him. He had his hand out, but I did not see it at first. I continued driving along the curve. Now the road was a zig-zag downhill. So I knew I could see him again once I drove my car past it. I kept an eye on him because I had to see...

Eye to eye with a bobcat

I was on a road trip with my buddies - it was summertime, and we had planned to hit the road. I am not a fan of night drives, but the idea of driving on the highway in the middle of the night is a little exciting. Apart from the fact that it was always risky to drive at night, there was a risk of criminals or animals lurking around. The highway we were on was not busy that night. We were driving casually, partying, drinking, and screaming while driving. But again, the highway was empty and we were not disturbing anybody. Amidst the loud music, suddenly we heard a loud thumping sound. The car engine sound stopped. We drove to the side as the engine slowly came to a still. Out of all possibilities, the car had decided to break down in the middle of a highway. The 5 of us got off the car and waited for the call to connect. But the network was so poor that none of us got any reception on our devices. Two of my friends tried to figure out the issue but to no avail - that is when the real tr...
