A Scary Story Of An Employee At Walmart

I read some Walmart stories about creeps following and loitering around. Also, I have been a witness to some really shady Walmart officials from the upper management, who get things done the way they want them. In a corporate structure, all they care about is the results and charts. They rarely value the lives of the people working there. We are not robots. We are humans. Anyway, let me tell you my story from the time I was a part of Walmart. I worked for Walmart about 12 years ago for a whopping total of over 10 months. I worked the overnight shift. I was an Overnight Stocker for the pets’ department. The Walmart store that I worked at, had just got a brand new high-rise shelf installed. They were said to be able to hold a weight of over a ton. Well, one night after getting all my regular freight stocked, and the overstock put into the bins, my bosses had me pull 8 pallets of Arm & Hammer cat litter. These boxes had a bonus of 10 pounds inside, making them nearly 35 or so pounds a...

Terrifying Wendigo experience

It is said that you are not supposed to say any names of the creatures of the woods. You are just inviting it to come to find you. You are not supposed to acknowledge it in any way or form. And I am not just saying it for the sake of saying it. My story took place in the backcountry of the area where I grew up - just a warning for you. My wendigo encounter story might be a little too frightening for some.   So this happened back in 2019. I still remember a massive uproar of unknown creatures roaming the forest, like bigfoot or sasquatch and ski walkers. But my story is not about them. My story is about probably one of the scariest things that I think I have ever heard. The Wendigo! A few months after one of my friends, Jason mentioned this big uproar, I went to go and see him since I had been away, enlisted in the United States Marines.   I got back after being discharged from the military, and one of the first things I did, was to go and see him. We were having a good time ta...

Horror of the unidentifiable creature

A few weeks ago, I went for an evening walk through the woods nearby. The woods are close to where I live. It is generally quiet and peaceful, and apart from the typical few teenagers drinking and doing other teenager stuff, it was quite a chill place to be out for an evening stroll on a summer day. I am very familiar with these woods. I used to come and visit here a lot as a child, so I know there is nothing dangerous here. There is hardly any risk of an animal attack. Actually, in this forest, there are no animals larger than foxes that roam them, so the next part of the story gets weird.  As I walked through the forest trail, the sun began to set. It was roughly around 8 pm, and I began walking out of the forest in the same way I came in. It was then that I started to hear a very ear-piercing scream. It was shrill. It sounded sort of like a woman screaming in anger. It was so loud that I couldn't move for a moment. I looked around and could see nobody, nothing at all. I know fox...

Creatures in the woods near Stranrear

I was about eleven, and my sister was thirteen. We slept in the living room of a little caravan. We used to stay near Stranraer. There wasn’t much to do; the campsite had no amenities. I’d pass time playing with my sister, taking walks, or playing the SNES. It was 1998, so Castlevania and Donkey Kong Country weren’t nostalgic - they were just lame. I couldn’t wait to get home and back to the PC to get my Theme Hospital on. But mostly, I’d read. I had a collection of books about ghosts, UFOs, and cryptids. I’d pick them up at library sales or in charity shops. My favorites were the unexplained true stories, like the Dover Demon or the Gulf Breeze incident. There was a quarry on the other side of the site; sometimes at night, I’d pretend the two red lights were the eyes of the Mothman, who’d swoop down to terrorize my family. What I’m getting at here is, I was a kid and had an active imagination, but I never believed anything spooky would happen to me. that if something extraordinary hap...

Mysterious creepy guy

As far as I remember, this happened in the summer of 2004. I was on a camping trip alone in a valley that was a little familiar to me. There was no cell service around. I stayed up till very late on a trail and ran into a local guy as it got dark. He showed me the direction to a local camping spot close to the road and also the river but camouflaged. That sounded interesting. So I went there and set up camp. With me, I carried a kit to set up a campfire. So I lit the fire, drank beer, and listened to my friend’s comedy podcast. I was loud and visible. Because it was dark already, I decided to sleep in the back of my truck, under my topper, next to all of my gear as opposed to setting up my tent. The next morning, I made a fire, cracked a beer, and started making breakfast for myself. That is when I notice a man at the edge of my camp. He comes closer but never looks directly at me. This guy looks like a homeless person. He had a long ratty beard and had at least a hundred plastic groce...

A Lone-powered Desk In The Middle Of The Forest

To be clear, I am not a part of the forestry department. But I just happen to have a story related to it. So my cousin is with the forest service around the Montana or Wyoming area, and I decided to go up there with her, to literally test the waters. She does hydrology and has to ride out to the middle of nowhere to test streams and snow runoff to make sure that there are no contaminants. So I thought that that sounded fun, and wanted to do a bit of a tour with her. We were going to have to camp out there for 2 nights, so we packed up all our gear in our saddlebags, and started out.   The first day and night were amazing. There was beautiful scenery everywhere, and amazing air quality. It was so refreshing that I cannot explain it. It really is so peaceful out there. I love that area and wish I could go up there more often. Anyway, we started out on the second day and my cousin said, "You want to see something weird?" Of course, I said yes, so she led me on a bit of a side jo...

A Camp At Hot Springs Near Colorado River

Not a ranger, but back in 2010 I had just finished a wilderness leadership class, and I had decided to go to Colorado to get some solo wilderness time. I found out about some hot springs near the Colorado River, that were only accessible during the winter. This is since, during the summer the melted snow raises the water level of the river, and they become submerged. So I decided to go and spend a few weeks out there. It was technically on Bureau of Land Management land, and I had about a 4-mile hike from where I parked, to where I was camping. The BLM lady who watched the land saw me when I arrived and asked me to just write the date on my windshield every week, to let her know I’m still alive out there. Anyways, it was pretty pleasant out there – but every night I was terrified of the bears, they should be sleeping. But if they aren’t sleeping at night, it means they are hungry as hell and I’m a potential dinner for them. For this reason, I decided to set up my camp close to a cliff....

A Creepy Person At A Campsite

So I am not a park ranger, but I used to be in a group that's somewhat like the scouts. So we spent a lot of time in the woods, and some weird shit happened often. But most of the time, it was easy to explain. Although one thing happened once, that to this day scares the living shit out of me. I was the leader for the age group 8 to 10 years old, and we were out on a camping trip. It was the first year we stayed on that terrain. It was huge, and normally we tend to explore the majority of the terrain before the kids arrive, so we were aware of any possible dangerous spots to avoid. This time it was impossible. It was that huge. Every camp we have what we call a 'night-game', it's usually a scary game in which the kids have to complete several tasks, while the leaders scare the ever-loving shit out of them. Obviously, we had one too during that camp, we masked up as monsters, and hid out in the woods close to the checkpoints they had to pass.   While running in between c...

The Notorious Route 666

I am a trucker and I have seen some unexplainable things in my 12-year-long career. Out of all the possible incidents that come to my mind, I have one specific memory etched in my memory. A few years ago, I was driving through a native land in New Mexico on Highway 491. Now note this, Highway 491 used to be Route 666. Yes, the notorious Route 666. But they changed it a few years back. I’m not sure why that happened, but it might have had to do with the negative press it had garnered, over the decades. Anyways, I’m on my regular route driving through that route. By the middle of the night, I'm in the middle of the desert. There were no lights or civilization for miles. Not that I was expecting to see them, but I was literally in the middle of nowhere. I was listening to loud music just so I would stay awake when up in the sky, there was a huge, orange flash. It is hard to explain how it looked, but the orange flash quickly inflated into a giant ball in the sky. From where I was look...

Scary Trucker Experience

Now this one might not be a scary story as such, but it was scary for me. I was driving across Kent, Texas. There is an old Chevron station over there,  and it seems like FedEx drivers like stopping in there in droves. Well my guess is that it's a popular drop and hook point for them or something. I never really stopped there since I never cared, and moreover, I had my own designated stops. But one fine day, I stopped there, as I needed to take a piss. I don't know why I didn't stop in Van Horn, which was barely a few miles before, but whatever. So I pull off, and I roll up to the empty lot across the street. Now just so you know, Kent is an abandoned town. I walk up to the bush line, and notice a makeshift fire pit. The wood is somewhat burned, but not all the way. The weird thing is that there's an unscathed dollar bill, stuck in the wood. For a second I was like "Oh piece of candy!", but then this sudden feeling of nope came over me.   So I left it alone an...

Unusual Activity in the Skies

Okay so I’ll list some states. Firstly New Mexico, then Nevada and Utah. These are some of the states that to this day, I still see random stuff in the skies that I simply cannot explain. Sometimes lights rapidly change directions, and take off at blinding speeds, but no sound barrier being broken.  As a trucker, I have also seen some lights hovering over the desert, several miles off the interstate. Then it suddenly takes off and the lights are cut out. Not only that, but there are various shapes and sizes of it from what I can make out, while I drive at night. Yes, the visibility is low, but that helps me see those shape of lights distinctly. Just so you know, I know the military aircraft pretty well, and some of the lights were more than likely those aircraft. But some of them absolutely can not be any military aircraft currently in mainstream use. Conventional aircraft do not move like that. The most vivid one would be at an off ramp in New Mexico. One day, I was driving for ho...

A Beggar At A Truck Stop In Arizona

I remember one occasion when I was driving in Arizona. It was a shocking moment for me. A lady was begging for money, which isn't uncommon at truck stops. One usually expects beggars to approach for money. So the lady approached me. She gave me the whole sob story of her boyfriend who left her, she didn't have a job, lost the apartment, her two kids were hungry, and she didn't know what to do. Me being a social creature, I let the conversation go on for some reason. To make it short, she was molested by her father as a child, forced on several occasions in her teen years, and then found a lesser evil boyfriend, who tried to get her into drugs, got her pregnant, and beat her all the time. Now I have heard that kind of story from beggars all the time, but just in case she was telling the truth, I gave her what I had in my pockets. It ended up being roughly over 60 dollars. She broke down and cried right there, and then I started to wonder if maybe she was telling the truth. S...

The trickster on the Highway

I was driving across the state highway in the middle of the night that was deserted. But it was not much surprising to me. Since I had traveled through this route a couple times - I knew that it usually gets lonely at night. It does not matter much to me since it is barely a four-hour-long drive.  So I was driving as usual. However, there was one thing a little out of the ordinary. I saw a man ask for a lift. He was a hitchhiker, and I have a strict self-decided policy toward hitchhikers - I never stop for them. And I do feel guilty about it, but I prefer not to put myself at risk. So I saw this man stand at the corner turn, asking for a lift. He did not say much. I was driving downhill - the road was curvy. I saw him at the first turn and just noticed him. He had his hand out, but I did not see it at first. I continued driving along the curve. Now the road was a zig-zag downhill. So I knew I could see him again once I drove my car past it. I kept an eye on him because I had to see...

Eye to eye with a bobcat

I was on a road trip with my buddies - it was summertime, and we had planned to hit the road. I am not a fan of night drives, but the idea of driving on the highway in the middle of the night is a little exciting. Apart from the fact that it was always risky to drive at night, there was a risk of criminals or animals lurking around. The highway we were on was not busy that night. We were driving casually, partying, drinking, and screaming while driving. But again, the highway was empty and we were not disturbing anybody. Amidst the loud music, suddenly we heard a loud thumping sound. The car engine sound stopped. We drove to the side as the engine slowly came to a still. Out of all possibilities, the car had decided to break down in the middle of a highway. The 5 of us got off the car and waited for the call to connect. But the network was so poor that none of us got any reception on our devices. Two of my friends tried to figure out the issue but to no avail - that is when the real tr...

Gun men terrorizing School

So you hear many stories about a gunman entering a school and then the school going on lockdown. I know this might sound a little weird and insensitive to me, but the idea of a school going on lockdown gave me a rush. It is a scary experience for the ones who have survived through one. But I would have never known until it happened to my school. Yes, it happened to me when my school went on lockdown. And no, it was not scary. It was traumatizing. It haunts me even today. So it all happened when I was in high school. We were having our lunch break - the bell rang. The lectures were about to begin. So as per usual, students rushed back to their classes. And I used to move like a sloth. I hated studying. So as per usual, I followed my typical route. I went to the washroom before heading toward my class. It would save me a few minutes from the boring professor’s lecture. I was relieving myself at my own pace when I heard a bell ring. It wasn’t a typical one. It was an alarm for our school ...

Catching the Psycho Killer

I still remember when I was hiding in the library. It was dark in there because the school was on lockdown. The lights were off, and all students were hiding in classes. I was in the hallway when the alarm rang. So I did not have enough time to rush to my class. Instead of heading to the washroom, I decided to go to the library. Because honestly, it is too predictable to hide in the washroom as it is one of the first places psycho shooters would look into to find unsuspecting students. That is why I went to the library so I could hide there, between stacks of shelves filled with books. I assumed they would never come here, so I hid behind the first shelf. It was near the door - I could see if anyone entered. And to my shock, the door opened. A man with a long sharp knife made his way inside. I panicked and crouched. This sudden movement made a book move. But luckily, he did not see it. He kept moving toward the counter, and I slowly stepped toward the second row of shelves. I wanted to...

Supernatural Activities in Death Valley National Park

Since vacations were finally starting, my gang and I decided to go to a forest camp in the dense forest of the Death Valley National Park instead of a club this time. At first, I thought it was a bad idea, but then, we live life only once. That shit struck me at that moment, and after a while, when I reconsidered my decision, my friends did not allow me to back off. I had no choice but to go. So we got on the bus led by a camping instructor. We were on a camping trip with other unknown groups. The forest was dark even in daylight. The drive was all fun and games until our bus suddenly jerked to a halt. The sudden jolt got us all worried. But we later realized that our bus had got punctured. So we had to walk our way to the campsite. We were more than halfway through our bus journey. Eventually, after a long, arduous walk, we reached the campsite. We unpacked our bags, only to find that we were out of water for the rest of the outing. It is not that we had not packed enough water, but w...

Guardian Angel in disguise

As the ice melted off our roof, my husband and I planned to take a camping trip to the Death Valley National Park. Since childhood, I have been quite a paranormal activities enthusiast, so this would be a fun trip for me. Since it was an impromptu plan, my husband was a little nervous. So you know, my husband is a very cautious person. He usually needs time to pack all the essentials and salt. Now I do not believe in the salt theory, as it did fail once, and I was fallen unconscious for the next three days. Gladly, my husband Drake doesn’t know about this. And I decided to keep it a secret for our best interest. So we reached our destination, and it was just us and our van in the middle of the forest. It was dark and cold. We pulled out the portable campfire that my husband insisted on buying on our way. In retrospect, it was a good decision. After setting up our tents near the lake, we snuggled inside a cozy blanket and listened to lo-fi music. We were vibing to the mood just when- we...

Creatures in the Woods

We were camping for the weekend. We had planned a three-day trek through the woods. We had planned to climb to our first spot and set up camp for the night. Move along the trail on the next day and then set up camp at night again. We were regular campers and well versed with the risks at night. The visibility is low. We might lose our sense of direction. Apart from that, it would be difficult to spot any wild animal if in case it was watching us. So our trek had started well. We were on schedule on day one. Every single one of us was high on energy. We saw many rabbits and deers moving around in the forest. We didn’t bother them much. We stayed on the planned trail and kept clicking pictures. The day ended with no hassles. We set up camp at night and had fun stargazing. Until this point, the route was a regular one for us. But from the next day onwards, we were heading on a trail we had never traveled before. Mind you, it was not a risk we were taking. The route that we were taking was...

Grim Creature In A Forest

I am a big fan of camping. I’ve been going on camping trips ever since I was a teenager. Back then, I used to go to camping spots within safe quarters. It was mostly with my elder siblings. However, later, I started going with my college buddies. And it was in mostly off-limits places. You know the places that are not listed or marked on the maps. As you might have guessed, these camping spots were generally deep in the woods. We would explore unknown places, set up a campfire, and camp under the stars while sipping liquor. It is a vibe. And it is usually fun until you realize that you aren’t alone in the woods. I remember this one incident I would like to share with you all. It was back in 2016 when I was on a camping trip with my college friends. It was 5 of us. We had been on a few camping trips before. But this time, we decided to tread a little deep in the woods. You see, we wanted to feel the thrill. And our last two trips were a lot typical. It didn’t give us much satisfaction a...
